Men's Ministries
The men of the church formally meet monthly for a book study, and enjoy mutual encouragement in their roles as fathers, sons, and men of God in whatever station they find themselves in. In an informal manner, the older men meet with the younger men, encouraging them to lead their family in the ways of the Lord. Our goal is to expose the powers and principalities of the day, seeking to take us captive every thought, and to walk in the Light of Lord’s Word in all areas of life.

Women's Ministries
Scripture refers to women as the glory of man. As such we seek to encourage women to grow in loveliness as they submit to their husband, put on a gentle and quiet spirit, raise children and make their home a place of great blessing. The women gather on a regular basis, with the older women sharing experiences, providing encouragement, offering prayers and organize events to make wonderful memories.

Children's ministries
(Christ Kids)
From Deuteronomy 6, we understand that the primary responsibility of discipling these little ones rests with the father. The father, with his wife’s help, are to teach these little ones the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments of God that their sons and grandsons may live long on the earth. Fathers are to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, and strength. They show their love to God by teaching their children when they rise up, when they sit down and when they go out. All of life is a lesson in submission to the Lord. At Christ Church Owensboro, we do not want to supplant the parent’s responsibility. Instead, our desire is to support, encourage and provide this material that Christ will be understood as Lord of all the earth and all that we do. To encourage fathers to train their children, we have developed a multi-year curriculum includes catechism questions and bible stories, taught with an overarching covenant theme. The fathers are to oversee the teaching of their children and then twice a month, after the fellowship meal, the children meet to learn new songs/psalms, practice their catechism questions, and collect new material for the coming weeks. We know it is God alone who brings new life, and we trust Him to do so in our children and grandchildren for generations to come. Our prayer is that God will raise up the next generation of warriors to advance His kingdom.

Psalm Sings
To become skilled in singing the Psalms, we gather as families and encourage one another with singing. We have been gathering together for more than 25 years in the Owensboro Area and recently we have started Psalm Sings in Hancock County and Dubois County. This is typically done on once a month in each location. After singing, there is a time of mutual prayer and then feasting on food and fellowship and we welcome all. Call (270) 222-0922 for more info and to RSVP.

After raising ten children, over three decades, elder Kevin Whear and his wife Joy are regularly publishing videos to encourage families in the challenging, but rewarding work of raising children. With the videos, they hope to provide a biblical foundation and then offering practical tactics to raise children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

To encourage men around the world, elder Kevin Whear has been overseeing a page of Facebook called Men’s Bible Study Page. The intent of the page is to regularly offer biblical meditations, exhortations, encouragements and insights on the wrangling of the power brokers of the day.
